March 6, 2025: 1) The International Coordination Group of the International Automotive Workers' Coordination is organizing the concrete planning and preparation of the conference. At a joint meeting in Pune, India, in January, we were able to discuss and harmonize the fundamental pillars of the conference in more detail. Important decisions were taken on the further preparation and implementation of the conference. We visited possible conference rooms on site. The preparation and implementation of the conference was agreed with the trade union federations SEM and TUCI.

2) Timing as an orientation for travel and booking of flights from outside India: Travel can be organized jointly or individually after consultation with the participants from the respective countries. Arrival should be planned for before November 20. On-site registration and accreditation of delegations will be possible from November 19, 3 p.m. The conference is scheduled to begin on November 20 at 9 a.m with further registration and accreditation. The conference is scheduled to end at 3 p.m. on November 24.

After the conference, the International Coordination Group, together with forces from India, will offer a guided tour of Pune and the surrounding area on 2-3 days (until November 27 at the latest). This includes cultural sightseeing and an offer to get to know the country and its people, automotive workers, their trade unions and families. The travel agency “people-to-people” is still planning an offer for a tourist trip after the conference with a return flight planned for Saturday, December 6, 2025. More detailed information will follow.

After attending the conference, it is also possible to take part in the theoretical seminar of the World Women's Conference of Grassroots Women in Nepal, which will take place from November 27 to 30. Information on this can be found at: www.worldwomensconference.org

3) Entry by plane is possible with a visa via all major airports in India. The recommended route is via Mumbai, from there another 150 km to Pune by cab or bus. It is also possible to book a domestic flight to Pune from Delhi or other airports in India. ICOG will set up a team to organize and coordinate the pick-up and drop-off at the airport.

4) Participants from abroad usually need a conference visa for the conference, which allows them to spend additional days in India before or after the conference. We will provide more detailed information on how to apply for a conference visa, which documents you need and what else you will be provided with by the conference management.

5) The International Coordination Group has decided to set up a Multilateral Assistance Staff (MAS) with 16 teams. Applications to join the teams are now open. See address below.

So far, teams are planned for: 1. arrival and departure, visa advice and transport from the airport; 2. finance; 3. international office team; 4. translation; 5. security; 6. house team; 7. catering team; 8. health; 9. culture, decoration, leisure; 10. event technology; 11. translation technology; 12. domestic tranfer; 13. accreditation; 14. international mobilization team, 15. set-up- dismantling team, 16. press team.

7) Our conference is self-organized and self-financed. As a rule, participation must be financed independently. It is not possible for ICOG to cover the costs, or only in part and by application to ICOG. ICOG has yet to decide on the specific conference costs and will announce these as soon as possible. The ICOG has decided to launch an international donation campaign with a target of 50,000 euros. An appeal for donations will be issued by the ICOG in April. Please develop initiatives to collect donations and find sponsors!
